My Recommended Reading List
They say books are life shortcuts and I couldn't agree more with that statement. Over the years, they've helped me acquire and develop new skills in a fraction of the time.In this page, I listed some of my favorite books about entrepreneurship, productivity, growth hacking, and psychology.
Self Help Books
There are books out there that can help you build a better life, have great relationships, find your purpose, and much more. These books are typically called "Self-Help Books" and here are a few that you should, in my humble opinion, read at least once.
Entrepreneurship and Business
Whether you are running a startup or thinking about building one, these books can teach you a lot.In particular, if you are wondering how to start a side hustle, check out The 4-Hour Workweek. On the other hand if you need some ideas to scale your current business, take a look at both The Lean Startup and Traction.
My Photography Gear
Welcome to the heart of my creativity! Dive into the tools that bring my storytelling to life. Contrary to popular belief, the right gear elevates both content and skills. From trusted cameras to versatile lenses, these essentials shape my narrative. Whether you seek inspiration or are curious about the magic behind the scenes, this is a brief tour of the gear that's transformed my creative journey. To help you decide what to get next, I wrote under each item either Highly Recommended, Solid Choice, or Consider Alternatives.DISCLAIMER: Some of the links above are affiliate links which means if you choose to purchase an item, I may get a small commission with no additional cost to you. It's all stuff I use a lot, and I am happy to recommend. 🙂
Cameras
The key tools that enable me to create great content and tell compelling stories.
Sony A7RV
(Solid Choice)One of the best photography cameras out there. Not entirely worth it if you already own an A7Riv, but otherwise a great choice.
Sony A7Siii
(Highly Recommended)The perfect camera for 99.9% of filmmakers. Only consider the FX3 if you want sell your film to Netflix.
Sony A7C
(Solid Choice)Once the smallest Fullframe camera, this tiny camera is great if you want something not too bulky.
Camera Lenses
A camera is useless without a good lens! Here are the camera lenses I use the most.
Sony FE 24 mm f/1.4 GM (Prime)
(Solid Choice)This lens is so good! If I had to shoot a film and had to choose only one lens, I would choose this one.
Sony FE 35mm F1.8 (Prime)
(Solid Choice)If you're looking for a 35mm lens for videos, go for this one. The GM version has a focus breathing problem. However, if you only want to take photos, then go for the GM version. It's amazing!
Sony FE 85mm f/1.4 GM (Prime)
(Solid Choice)This fat fella is capable of creating magic like no other lens can (except maybe for the 135mm). You probably don't need one in your kit, but rent one at least once.
Sony 16-35mm Vario-Tessar T FE F4 ZA OSS
(Consider Alternatives)This was the first lens I bought when I switched to the Sony system. It's a great lens for landscape photography, but unless you are on a tight budget you should go for the GM version or the Sigma counterpart.
Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 DG DN Art
(Highly Recommended)There are not many lenses that can compete with the Sony G Master lenses, but this is one is one of those lenses. Even if you have the cash, I'd probably buy the Sigma 24-70 F2.8 instead of the GM version.
Sony FE 85mm f/1.4 GM (Prime)
(Solid Choice)This fat fella is capable of creating magic like no other lens can (except maybe for the 135mm). You probably don't need one in your kit, but rent one at least once.
